My 7 year old boy has had slight pain during urination.  He is on a swimteam, and I was wondering if pools can cause this?  Does cranberry juice help?

Just wondering if bacteria in the pool may cause this, and if I give him cranberry juice and lots of water, can it help till I get him to the doctor...
