Why do my feet tingle and burn as soon as I lie down on my bed?

Posted by Giverny

As soon as I go to bed my feet start to tingle and burn.  I do not experience this any other time.   I  do not have trouble while sleeping with my feet, only while I am lying down before falling asleep.

Do you also have the urge to move your legs at night?  Like something is crawling on them?  If so, it might be restless leg syndrome.  In severe cases it can cause tingling and burning of the feet.  Also, are you on any medication?  This too can cause the sensations you are feeling in your feet.  Personally I think that we detoxify our bodies through our feet and that may be what you need to research.
