What's physically happening when I feel a "shiver" go up my spine when watching something exciting?

Posted by anon1701

Every time I watch this one episode of my favorite show, there is a part when the two main characters kiss... they aren't in a relationship and the sexual tension is HIGH, so the kiss was VERY exciting to say the least.  Well, while sitting on the couch, and watching the kiss (less than 20 seconds long), I felt approximately 6 jolts run up my spine.  It really felt awesome and I'm curious what was happening physically to cause these sensations?!

I get the same feelings. The cause is when you watch, listen, ect. something you really like. Also, it could happen when something exciting happens. There are other reasons such as your body being cold, your body feeling a ghost around you, or you feel some one watching you. I know it's not those ones because you said yourself, it is you fave show.
