This is an excellent question. I usually think about whatever strange dream I was just having right before I woke up. I have very vivid dreams, all the time, and I almost always remember them. Sometimes my dreams predict things (no kidding) so often I need to tune into them, to see if they are telling me something. Then I think honestly my next thought is, "I have to go to the bathroom." Hehehe.
Great question! It varies for me. Mostly, I'm dreading getting out of my warm bed and having to face up to the myriad deadlines that surely await me. :( I've been trying to be more proactive in thinking positively, though. Like Stephanie said, recounting my dreams and writing them in my journal is something I try to do. I also have a daily gratitude list that I try to fill out each morning right when I wake up. Thinking of at least three wonderful things that tickle me pink can be something of a challenge when it's cold and rainy, but it definitely is uplifting.
