I found this really interesting article on MSNBC.com today about the grown in the "brain fitness" game industry. Revenues in that market more than doubled between 2005 and 2007, in part because of the large number of baby boomers being proactive about their neurological health, and apparently there is evidence that challenging, with training games for example, "can stave off the cognitive decline that comes with aging. ":can stave off the cognitive decline that comes with aging."
