first foal for 2008 Today has been one of those days that I wish wouldn't end. There hasn't been one single solitary 'great' thing happen, just a series of 'simple wonderfuls' that have strung themselves together to be a great day.
-Our first foal of the season was born. She looks exactly like her Daddy and nothing like her Mom. (Sounds like my son-);
-The morning fog lifted and the day was bright and sunny, and warm;
-My husband found a new employee who seems eager to work and learn;
-The house is coming along;
-Bought a bunch of lavender to plant; I LOVE LAVENDER!;
-Hung out at the barn in the sunshine and spent time with the cats;
-Took my camera out in the pasture and got some pretty shots;
-Felt the sun on my face;
-Watched the ducks in the lake;
-Picked up doughnuts that were still warm! PURE BLISS...
Simple pleasures, but good for the soul. Its been a truly beautiful day. I am truly blessed.
