I've been wanting to participate in a number of blog carnivals for the last few months, but the last job I had didn't allow me the time. Now that I am free, I can! Yay!
Jenni at ChronicBabe.com is hosting the Patience for a Moment carnival and the topic - The Funniest Healthcare Experience. Many of you know my worst experiences, but I've had some funny/good ones too.
My funniest revolves around my first colonoscopy. I followed the prep, which is no solid foods and medicines to clean out your systems. The prep is meant to make it easier for the doctor to see your digestive track properly. I went in, was sedated, and had my colonoscopy. Afterwards, the doctor was writing the report and eating a breakfast/snack bar. I was still asleep, but I guess I could smell the bar. So, according to the doctor, I sat straight up, asked if I could have a piece of the bar he was eating and fell right back to sleep. He said he had never had that happen before and it added a laugh to a stressful experience.
