One time a successful fiction writer that I know told me that people worldwide love fictional love stories involving cowboys. Really?
Another cowgirl I know, another published author, told me that her book about cowgirls is actually sold more in big cities and states where an actual cowgirl is scarcely seen...
So I guess there is something intriguing about the cowboy/girl life. Perhaps its because its so different from other professions, its a unique lifestyle of its own... is it the draw of the Old West? The romanticism of the old Westerns? What is it that is intriguing about the rugged cowboy?
I ask you because I'm doing some research. If you want to know what my research is for, you'll just have to take the bait and play along and answer my questions. Your feedback matters, it really does! I need to know your opinions.
So here's what I want specifically: 1) Have you ever read a love story involving a cowboy? If so, please give me the title. 2) Have you ever read Bridget Jones Diary? I know this seems off subject but just answer the question... did you like the format of the book? 3) In your humble opinion, why are cowboy love stories popular around the world (especially in Asia, go figure?)
Get busy answering in the comments please. I do really want to hear from you about this. I need to do this market research and who better to ask than my faithful readers?
And hey! I want to say a big thank you to ye faithful ones out there... I checked my stats out there and over 79% of my readership are repeat offenders! I love it! I am glad that once you arrived here, you found something that kept you coming back for more. Thank you so very much- you are the best!!
