Yes, I did it again! I totally wiped out my blog last night when I wiped out the Cedar Hill massage web site to fix some problems with the navigation bar.
Did that upset me?
Not as much as you may think since it’s the second time I’ve lost my blog in the past month! From past experience, I know it’s not a tragedy and that it can be rebuilt.
How can I be so calm?
I gave up perfectionism! Somewhere at some time, someone taught me that it was not okay to make mistakes. I spent many years being afraid of trying new things because I didn’t know how to do them perfectly. It felt like everyone else was born gifted and I was born without a clue! I didn’t know life was all about practice, making mistakes, adjusting, practice, making mistakes, practice . . .
When I gave up perfectionism, the WHOLE WORLD OPENED UP for me! I took piano lessons. I started playing soccer. I started trying new things! It doesn’t matter that I do it perfectly, it only matters that I try and that I practice, practice, practice . . .
