According to natural health experts, we women are more prone to stress because of the many roles we play - as a working woman, wife, mother, daughter, and friend. It sure isn’t easy. Yet, it’s a privilege to be a woman because research has shown that we are effective multi taskers. We are passionate about life, our dreams, bringing up our children, caring for our family’s health and we keep our dreams alive! Play some games with your children, read an inspirational book, put on a nice piece of music or just simply relax over a cup of calming tea like chamomile.
2) Add a personal touch to your workplace. You can do simple things like putting up photo frames of your family or loved ones. When ever you feel stressed out, take a look at their happy faces and those images can bring comfort to the mind and smiles to your face.
3) Join a Pilates class or engage in some form of physical activity help get rid of tension. During a workout, your body releases endorphins which helps your body to relax. Do you know that endorphins also act as natural pain killers. There are a lot of exercise videos such as aerobics to pilates, tae-bo, and others that can help you to get started.
4) Cut down in your caffeine intake- caffeine is known as a stimulant and too much of it can add to stress. Some friends used to use caffeine to keep awake when starting out their custom software business but after some time, they realized that they became irritable and tensed over small matters.
There are more holistic remedies to manage stress but the most important one is to learn how to relax. True enough, we all have duties and responsibilities but if you don’t learn to relax, we can get burn out. If you are not watchful about your health, this can lead to other ailments such as hypertension, migraine, depression…etc. Life is more than just work, making money and fulfilling all your obligations and responsibilities.
