I was recently diagnosed with sciatica and bulging discs. I am taking a diuretic but my left ankle and lower leg swell every day. My doctor indicated that the swelling does not normally accompany sciatica. He has ruled out blood clots and cogestive heart failure, so what might be causing the swelling?
