Exercise is an important part of a healthy life. If you experience heartburn, there are ways you can stay in shape and avoid heartburn at the same time.
Eat small portions of foods that are high in carbohydrates: like pasta, before your workout. Eat protein and fatty foods when you have finished your workout.
Try not to eat anything at least 2 hours before you begin your exercise routine and sip water to keep yourself hydrated during exercise.
Exercises that involve lying down or bending over can cause acid to back up into the esophagus and cause heartburn. Rowing or cycling can also trigger heartburn. They increase pressure on the stomach and can force acid up into the esophagus.
Look into alternative exercises that will burn fat and tone muscle.
