Pilates has gotten a bad rap recently as the housewives’ workout, but competitive athletes across the globe have know for almost a century now that real men do Pilates. Developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates, these unique sequence of moves work the mind and muscle in harmony. Pilates helps to build and strengthen the core muscular system, allowing the large muscles and levers to work on explosive movements and strength. Just ask fans like Calvin Pace, Tiger Wood or Lebron James.

Linda Farrell has been teaching Pilates mat for the last 13 years at Equinox and Broadway Dance Center. Students marvel at how long and lean they feel after one of her inspiring classes.
Linda’s initial training was at the Pilates Studio of Physical and Mental Body Conditioning (Studio) in New York City where she studied with master teacher, Romana Kryzanowska.
