I know the benefits of stretching mainly affects risk of injury. I also heard that stretching after you work out is more necessary rather than before you work out. I was also told that stretching after wards lengthens your muscles given the body a longer and leaner look if done regulary over a period of time is this true?
Yes it is true. I'll tell you why. When you stretch and leghthen you muscles they are able to open up and receive vital nutrients deep down into cell walls and become healthier. Resulting in a healthy looking muscle which is lean and toned.
