Searching for my lost shaker of salt....

Posted Aug 26 2008 4:16pm
Last night was the Jimmy Buffett concert. Jimmy was *awesome*, 2 1/2 hours of music without a break.

The fans, on the other hand, were assholes.

I don't mean the true Parrotheads and the older fans. I'm talking about the dumbasses who stood the *entire* concert, blocking the video screens and the stage; the ones who were chainsmoking like there was no tomorrow; the ones who were drunk before Jimmy ever hit the stage.

We were at the Ford Amphitheatre in Tampa; we had to get the lawn seats because they were $32 (50 with service fees!!!) and the reserved seats were $130. You get what you pay for. But I guarantee you, that arena won't see any of my money again.

Because of my chronic pain, I can't stand for long periods of time, forget 2 1/2 hours. I stood for my favorite songs, and then had to stew while the drunk idiots in front of us blew smoke in my face (yes, my cold just *loved* that. My throat is raw and my ears ache today, along with my ribs from coughing). Oh yeah, and the particularly entertaining slut who gave her husband a lapdance. Really classy, that one. One more note--if you're going to talk the entire concert, *stay home*. GEEZE.

So Jimmy, I *heart* you. You rock in so many ways. But I almost wish I had rented a concert DVD and saved a ton of money. Kindof disapointing, to say the least, for our 15th anniversary gift.

I need a margarita.......
