My Personal Brand as a Migraine Educator and Advocate
Posted Nov 09 2011 12:00am
When it comes to my "brand," how my readers see me as a Migraine educator and advocate, friends and colleagues tell me that I underestimate myself and don't see myself as others see me. So, I'm going to use today's Health Activist Writer's Month Challenge prompt to take a good look at my online work, talk with some other people, and try to see me and my work more like other people do. Today's prompt says:
"My personal brand. As a Health Activist, you are a front-facing leader. What do you imagine you look like to your readers? What qualities do you possess. It’s ok to toot your own horn today – you have full permission to indulge. And don’t hold back."
My brand. My readers see me as:
someone who understands them because of my own history with Migraine and chronic Migraine.
someone they can turn to for accurate, up-to-date information about Migraine and other headache disorders.
the leading patient advocate in my field.
the person to turn to if they have questions about Migraine.
knowledgable, dedicated, passionate, and compassionate.
Well, now that I've listened to friends and colleagues and listed these points. I need to think about them and work on how I see myself.
