I could stand the pain no longer today. My tonsil was practically touching my uvula and my ear hurt so bad I could barely sleep. Off to urgent care.
They originally thought I had strep, but the rapid test came back negative--they are sending off a culture anyway.
BUT the doctor is my friend, he gave me wonderful numbing drops for my ear and I think it helped the rest of the nerves in my throat and face to chill out. I still am exhausted but not in agony. That stuff is priceless (and thanks to our new insurance, nearly was....cost 67 cents!)
Tomorrow is my consult with the surgeon. Pray that I get a surgery date soon.
