Life's an Itch

Posted Oct 01 2008 8:25pm
My trip to the allergist confirmed what I pretty much knew (thanks to 17 days of itching)--she agreed that it sounded like I was allergic to Biaxin. The rash is gone for the most part, but since I had to stop my zyrtec for next week's scratch tests, my dermagraphism has flared up. I EETCH.

The good news is that my CAPRAST test showed that supposedly I'm not allergic to mold, dust, oak or pine, but she thinks something may show up on the scratch test. But she noted my allergy to cats, dogs and grass. Allergy tests are rated from 0-6, with 4-6 causing a potential anaphylactic reaction. Grass is a FIVE. Holy cow. No wonder when GM comes in after mowing I feel like my throat is coated with clippings. Passing someone mowing while in the car and the AC on makes my throat itch.

She really hopes I'll respond well to allergy shots and will probably be able to stop allergy meds. Oh and my sinus CT scan showed a slightly deviated septum. Probably from one of SB's head-butts LOL Nothing that needs treatment though.

And Theresa, you are totally right--while I wish GM and I were able to do more with our free time, at least I can have some serious downtime with the kids at my parents' house. Not having to do anything is something to sing about ;)

This totally makes my day. I vote for Hugh Jackman ::drool::

Pirates 3 was even better the second time! Still a few questions rumbling in my head though....can't wait to do a POTC marathon when it comes out on DVD.

Mommybrag time--DQ aced another year of school, and got great scores on her standardized testing. Her grade equivalency is "post high school" WOO! I have a surprise for her when she gets back from her grandma's for all her hard work ;)

SB has become quite the Lizard Hunter. My mom is having a difficult time convincing him to let them go ::chuckle:: We've promised he can get a Bearded Dragon when he gets a little older.

I never get tired of watching The Cosby Show.
