How should I get off of 300mg. of Topomax?

I want to get off of this medicine. I believe the migraines were caused by my birth control pills. I am now off of them and the migraines have stopped.

You have to taper off the Topamax. If you stop taking it at once, you'll be a wreck. I'm not a doctor, but I've come off Topamax twice now. My doctor always had me reduce my dosage by 50mg for a week, then reduce it another 50mg for a week, etc. until I was off it.
