Hello - can you tell me more about 'Lactic Acid Dosage'

Posted by Kate

I went to my neurologist a few weeks ago. I had been having "migrane"s or so every doctor I went to thought. But when I went to my neurologist, he said something about my mightocondria (I'm not posotive I spelled that right) not working properly and that I may possibly have what is called 'lactic acid dosage', meaning acid builds up in m muscles. Causing me to have fitigue, muscle aches and pains, tenderness and other effects. My neurologist also is sending me to do a "muscle biopsy"in Atlanta, Georgia. Even if I DO go to the biopsy, what are they going to do? There is no medicine that will help me, right? Should I go - or just wait a few years and if my muscle are still bothering me I'll go for a test and hopefully a medicine will have came out that will help. :( It was a bit confusing deciding what category this would fit in so I just picked "Migranes & Headaches" I don't know.

MORE ABOUT ME:

Name: Kate Anderson

D/O/B: 10/20/92

Allergies: Rosephin [Reaction: Rash]

Location: Florida

I am an all A student, above average by far. My name is Kate, my grandmother on my father's side has migranes and epilepsy. My aunt on my father's side has epilepsy and gets epilepitic seizures. I have asthma, I assume I get it from my mother's side of the family, considering almost everyone in her family has had asthma. I have a younger, 15-year-old sister and no other siblings - my sister also has asthma. I have gone to the hospital for many reasons, I do believe I have gone to the hospital because of my asthma once before.

I am looking for: More info on 'Lactic Acid Dosage', if you think I should go to the muscle biopsy now or later, and any extra helpful information.

Thank You - Kate
