After having migraines for several days in a row I finally went to the ER. They gave me two shots Tramadol and Imitrex. I have taken Tramadol before with no side effects. The Imitrex instantly stiffened my neck and jaw muscles. It also sent a burning sensation up my neck to my head. There was also a little drowsiness. After a day or so I got the perscription and read the side effects. It described my side effects I experienced under the "Call your doctor immediatley". I didnt take it after the first time but my jaw muscles are still very tight and I get headaches that start at my temples and spreads to the top of my head. Its been several weeks since the ER visit.
