CT scans. I am having a CT scan for sinus issues. Are there any side effects??

I have never had a CT scan, and am scheduled for one tomorrow morning but am concerned about the "dye".  Are there any side effects to expect from this procedure?  It is to check the sinus cavities to determine why I have so much mucous in my throat, and why I have daily sinus headaches.
