Tracey, I have not heard anything about Migraines and sudden sleep. However, Migraines are quirky and I wouldn't say that they can't cause sudden sleep.

When you say you suddenly fall asleep, do you ever fall to the floor? Do you have hallucinations as you are falling asleep? How well do you sleep during the night? Excessive Daytime Sleepiness (ESD) is a symptom of several different sleep disorders. You need to see a doctor who specializes in sleep disorders. In the meantime, be extra cautious driving. If you feel in the least bit sleepy, pull over and take a nap.

Tracey,

I have not heard that Migraines cause excessive sleepiness. However, Migraines are quirky, so I would not rule it out.

I am more concerned with your sudden sleep onset during the day. Excessive Daytime Sleepiness is caused by many disorders. One of them is narcolepsy, which can cause sufferers to fall to the floor and to have hallucinations as they fall asleep or wake up. Such disorders are diagnosed and treated by a doctor specializing in sleep disorders. You should have this checked out.

In the meantime, be extra cautious driving. If you feel in the least bit sleepy either don't drive or pull over and take a nap.

Best wishes,

Debbie
