2012 Goals

Posted Jan 01 2012 12:01am
A new year. 2012. That means....DO OVER!

That's the great thing about the new year, you can look back on things and for the most part, change what you didn't like, do what you didn't do, try new things.

For my 2012 reading list, please check out Bastion of Books .

Looking back on my 2011 Goals  sometimes makes me a little sad, because I know my health prevented some things. And while that can't be avoided I can't help but sigh.

  • While I did meet up with a very special someone from online, another friendship ended. But GF has become part of our family, a real blessing and unexpected surprise!
  • Health. My 6 chronics are still here, and with the exception of my PsA/AS, remain without decent treatment or relief. The Enbrel makes my PsA/AS tolerable most days.
  • Still no pug, though we did adopt a rat!
  • No singing lessons, no tryouts. I was supposed to sing the Anthem for a judo tournament and was too ill to attend. I haven't given up the idea for auditioning though!
  • I did work on Zazzle, so hooray!
  • We did stay at a hotel for a tournament so I call that a vacation ;)
  • I started my freelance promotional services and continue to write book reviews!
So, yeah, goalwise, 2011 wasn't exactly winning. But I keep trying!

For 2012:

  • Adopt a pug and get some tankmates for my fish
  • Plan for our 20th wedding anniversary! We're already talking about it (Sept 5).
  • get on Skype!
  • Learn to use my Dragon software to make writing easier
  • work on crafts and other items for The Crafty Angel
  • Audition for Jeopardy
  • I would LOVE to go to a Monster Truck Jam this year. GRAVEDIGGER DUDE. And it's all House MD's fault ;)
  • Kennedy Space Center--we have tickets, need to plan a weekend to go!
  • Explore new foods--or at least new recipes
  • More Reading, More Watching Movies
  • Maybe a new piercing or tattoo (funds allowing)
  • Get together with GF as often as possible
  • Redecorate our Bedroom--it will be a Moroccan theme (mostly). I am so excited about this--JM will be building custom furniture for the room (a vanity, bookcases, etc).
  • More hair colors for 2012!
  • More blogging here and at  The Manicured Slayer in 2012!
