Michele Rosenthal's Whiteboard

My 3 yr old won't let us show him anything.  I asked if he wanted to help wrap a gift.  I asked him to hold down the paper & then offered that we cut the gift wrap together......but he wanted to take the scissors and do his own thing, and then rip the paper, etc.

Is there a way for him to do that within boundaries (so he doesn't rip apart the present) or so that he will at least let us show him once before he tries?

 Thanks.

Marcie
