It's the end of yet another year and magazines and television shows are summing up the year's best and worst moments. I always enjoy watching or reading about the "year in review" because there are many things I've either forgotten or things that were worth re-living all over again. It's also that time of year when many of us make our New Year's Resolutions to start the year off on the right foot. That's what my husband and I plan on doing tonight. We were invited to a couple parties, but we have a hard time staying awake past 10 pm on a daily basis as it is! So we decided we're going to stay home, relax, have a drink or two, and work on our own lists.
Then I got to thinking... instead of just focusing on our goals for 2011, why not do our own "year in review"? Why not spend some time looking back on 2010 and jot down the "best and worst moments"? In doing so we're giving ourselves credit for all the things we did achieve which is important, especially when you have depression... because depression tends to focus only on the negative. Even with that being said it's also important to remember the hard times as well. Why remember the bad stuff? To have a starting off point for 2011... to have an idea of what needs extra attention so those bad times won't be so bad or they won't bebad anymore!
