What is the sound of a heartbeat?
Posted Feb 08 2010 6:03pm
So we play mental gymnastics. We use words as hoops. We do a little dance, cartwheel through the air.
And still, my heart aches. Every night, I lay awake and listen to the beating of my heart and I wonder what does it take to stop it forever?
Every night, my heart beats and I can feel the sound of it in my ears, like a crashing wave, wave after wave after wave.
