Yesterday I was feeling a little overwhelmed. My husband headed out of town for the week and I was dreading being a single parent for seven days. Last night I went to sleep wishing he didn't have to leave.
This morning I woke up and decided to stop freaking out. I took a deep breath and decided to take it one day at a time. With that in mind, today was looking pretty good. The girls are both in activities this morning, freeing me up to check e-mail and update my blog. Then this afternoon, they are going to hang out with their grandparents so I can go get my hair cut.
After dinner tonight a friend is coming over to watch the girls so I can go out running for the last night with the Sun Run clinic. (Thanks Teri!!!!!!!)
Looking at it one day at a time looks pretty good. With that in mind, I'm not even thinking about tomorrow or through to day seven. Just one day at a time.
It feels good to let go of that overwhelmed feeling and just take it a day at a time. Even though it sounds corny, surprisingly, it's working.
