Last night I was watching this locally produced TV series, and a certain celebrity mentioned (probably for the first time on live TV), that he had depression. He acknowledged it quite solemnly, and I was quite surprised because this guy was a comedian, one that I found pretty funny too. It was hard for me to imagine he could ever be depressed.
When asked how long he had this depression, he said "a long time...", and again, his quiet way of acknowledging this on public TV struck me.
Then, he said, "Not the boo-hoo kind of depression....", his head nodded slightly, face entirely calm and collected.
"The I-want-to-kill-you kind of depression...." he said.
