Mental Health Humor: The Happy Pill
Hello every one, today is a beautiful day, life is so sweet, and I’m slurping up the nectar. Well, this is not 100% true, the fact is that I forgot to take my meds last night and this morning and it has kind of sent me into a hypo-manic state. I saw my medication manager specialist today. Well, that’s all here really, just asks me a few questions, gives me my scripts and sends me on my way. But he is a nice guy and has helped me and I know their work load is overwhelming so I can understand… At least, he remembers my name and how I am… My last doctor could not even do that and I sawn him at least twice a month.
So I got the official O.K. to increase on of my meds. I did that on my own two months ago… he was ticked that I did not call him… and he is right. I should have talked to him first. I was also put on Seroquel officially. I’ve have been using samples for the last three months.
I also got to go to my weekly support group… that was fun. We got to talking about 
medication and joked about what we called our drugs… you know our pet names for them. What my pills are called not by me but by my kids are my HAPPY PILLS… So one day, I showed them how right they were about my happy pill. Take a look at the WELLBUTRIN XL tell me that does not look like a smiley face? So yes, I really do take happy pills.
