Mental Health Humor:

robin.jpgToday I got an e-mail from Robin and she sent me a photo to draw. So, me and my kids sat down and had our own art class.  My girls all drew their own version you Robin and here is mine… Oh, my son did a robot…

I think if she seen my girls drawings she might like them better…  DOH!  Well, here is what robin wrote:

HEY Chato!!!

Do you have an egroup where we can share, all of us together?

How quickly you have picked this up! As an art teacher, I must say, your work is remarkable. Obviously mental illness has nothing to do with brilliance and intelligence and the ability to learn. As Joon said in the great movie “Benny and Joon” with Aiden Quinn, Johnny Depp and Mary Stewart-Masterson, “Don’t underestimate the mentally ill. We know how to count”.

I am learning just by watching you learn. Teachers often learn this way and have students who end up doing much better work than the teacher.

Please share more. You are an instant TEACHER!!!!!

ps…I am attaching a photo for you to work on. I have done this for students before, but only in a classroom. This will be fun. Isn’t it so totally therapeutic? You go to your “ Right -Brain” and all kinds of cool stuff happens.

Always, Robin…unfortunately for those who don’t get me.
