Massachusetts Program Aims to Improve Mental Health in Homeless Vets

Posted Sep 01 2009 5:09pm

A GoodTherapy.org News Headline

Throughout the country, those without a permanent place to live face serious challenges in locating appropriate and meaningful mental health services, along with other necessities for creating and maintaining personal prosperity. Such difficulties can exacerbate the challenges faced by the homeless, and in recognition of the great struggles endured by homeless veterans, the group Massachusetts Stand Down, is preparing to hold an annual event to supply homeless veterans with necessary services and referrals in Boston. The event is hoped to provide former servicemen and women with the help they need to get back on their feet, or to at least experience a greater degree of health and happiness.
