Here's the weird question. If I see a tennis ball on the side of the road, I will pull over and "rescue" it. It does not matter the weather, the traffic, who is in the car with me. Nothing. I feel sorry for the tennis ball. Nothing else. Just tennis balls. If I try to ignor it, that does not work. I have "orphan" tennis balls at home!
I jokingly tell friends that I have "sympathetic displacia", that is, I feel sorry for an inanimate object. I'm not nuts. I'm not obsessive compulsive. Have you ever heard of such a thing?!
