Hypnosis helps Hull woman stop hiccups

Posted Aug 06 2009 10:57pm

Now here’s a heart-warming story.

I have just been reading an article on thisishullandeastriding.co.uk about Amanda Weston, 41, who wrote to the Hull Daily Mail asking for help after ’suffering from six bouts of hiccups a day, with each one lasting for up to 20 minutes.’

According to the article, Amanda’s condition ’caused so much embarrassment she had to walk out of shops and get off buses to wait for her hiccups to subside.’

However, after reading about her story, Sheila Granger from the Trance Actions Hypnotherapy
Service in Beverley contacted the Mail to offer Amanda her services for free.

The article reports that, following her first session with Sheila, Amanda ‘has had several hiccup-free days followed by a day when she had just one single hiccup.’

Wonderful!

It’s great to see another example of some really good work from a hypnotherapist - and, what’s more, a hypnotherapist here in Yorkshire.

Amanda is reported to have said: ‘I just can’t believe it – I feel great. I’ve had literally just one hiccup since my session. The back of my throat seems clear now. I could always feel something there but it’s gone.’

Congratulations to hypnotherapist, Sheila Granger, and Amanda Weston for achieving this together.
