Frequent numbness in my left leg. Weakness in right leg and right arm. Why is it happening?

Posted by ahmedwild

I have been experiencing frequent numbness in my left foot especially when I am sitting. Also, I feel weakness in my right arm and leg. The feeling is not very prominent when I am walking. Some time ago, I felt light involuntary tremor in my right hand. Sometime I feel very little pain in my knees when walking fast. Moreover there is a feeling of sudden coldness of my feet. Why all of this is happening. Is it related to something in the joints or bones. Or is it from the stress or anxiety. To mention I had shortness of breath and rapid heartbeat which  worsens at night while I am asleep. Moreover I had sudden panic attacks while sleeping as 1. immense fear for sometime 2- Extreme difficulty in breathing 3- Sensation as if my head will explode

My Chest X-ray and Blood CP  was normal, Although Doctor has ordered an Echo of Heart. Doctor prescribed me XANAX (anti-anxiety drug). Is it due to anxiety as well.

These could be symptoms of anxiety, which the Xanax will address. They could also be symptoms of nerve impingement due to arthritis or other health issues. Keep a log of symptoms, noting what you feel, when it occurs and the duration. This information, which you should take to your next scheduled medical appointment, could help your physician better understand what is happening.
