Doctors….

Posted Feb 15 2010 1:32pm

I tried to get a repeat prescription from my doctor this week and he has refused to write it for me. This was for agomelatine, the reason he gave was that he can only prescribe it safter 3 months, well i’ve been on it for 3 months now and i need regular blood tests. I haven’t had a foolow up blood trest yet and i know that i should have so he is right with that. I need my psychiatrist to write to him and tell him that he can prescribe. What a load of bloody hassle more phone calls trying to get people to do what they should have done already.

I don’t know if the agomelatine is working just recently i have felt a shift in my mood again i am trying to stay on top of it but it is not very easy. Will have to tell him when i see him that it feels a bit like the agomelatine has pooped out.

Things have move on on the work front i have filed for arbitration which basically means i will have to see an independant doctor. However this doctor is chosen by the company they will give me a list of three and i get to choose one of them to go see. Then i get to go over everything that has happened in the last couple of years and he gets to decide if i am fit and healthy to go back to work. He gets the last say so no matter what my doctors say if he decides i am not then i will lose my job.

I don’t know how long this will take it could be a couple of weeks or it could be a few months it is down to their timescale of things to be honest a couple of months would be great if i could have the time to finish my course and then go back to work it would all work out pretty well. I will just have to wait and see.
