My husband suffers is having a lot of short term memory loss and difficulty in 'processing' information received. he also is very emotional and often cries at the least thing that moves him. He has now stated to have bouts of profuse sweating followed by shivering (tho he has no fever or similar. Recently these are followed by a bout of more acute short term memory loss, where he finds it difficult to recall what he was doing just before it happened---or even what time of day it is. Could this be a problem with his hypothalamus? He is aged 70 but is xextremely fit, active, working and apart from these issues is in better health than anyone else we know of his age.
