An Oregon woman was pleasantly surprised by her new arrival: a six pound baby boy. It turns out that Bonita Ewan thought she was just going through early menopause. She wasn’t concerned about the cramps or the other changes she noticed. After all, early menopause was common among the women in her family.
Nine months in and a few labor pains later, a healthy baby boy arrived.
I love this story. Consider what most women go through as they prepare for the birth of a child. The anxiety and fear. The doctor’s visits. The birthing classes. All of the questions and decisions. It’s more than a little overwhelming. And yet, for Bonitalike the rest of usMother Nature took over.
I know what you’re thinking. But don’t worry. Child birth is not among the more common symptoms of menopause.
Hat’s off to Bonita. I am sure that baby will bring immeasurable joy to her life.
