Mood Swings & Rearranging Furniture

Hello faithful and loyal readers of The Perimenopause Blog.  No, I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth, but darn near it, it seems.

As you may have noticed, I’ve changed, once again, the appearance of my blog.  According to one very successful, professional blogger, one shouldn’t change the look of your blog very often as this supposedly signals your lack of professionalism.

To which I say, “Ya? So?”

He, and yes, it was a guy who said this, can’t begin to understand the inner workings of the female mind.  Particularly, one who has been ravaged by excessive estrogen.  If rearranging the furniture, hanging new curtains or buying a new pair of shoes can re-color my world, well, then, hey, dang it, I’m going to do it!  Lack of professionalism be damned.  Besides, I think people are much more interested in accessibility, warmth and a “real person” to connect with, rather than some unapproachable brand.  Got that professional blogger??

So, anyway, ladies – yes, I’ve done a few changes here and there because that’s what I do when my hormones rocket off the planet and let’s just say they have lately.  So, I’m entitled to make a little fun for myself.  In addition to a little furniture rearranging, I’ve been also working on launching yet another blog.  Sigh.  Yeah, I know.  It’s my ADD and OCD tendencies showing.  I’ll own it.

Actually, I’ve been attempting to learn (in between running interference for “teenage brain breakdowns”) a little bit about Internet Marketing , Niche’ Blogging, and Affiliate Marketing (hence the  new ads you see around my blog  and yes, I won’t lie, I do get paid commissions when and if someone clicks on them and/or buys something.  I majored in accounting, okay?  I’m a capitalist through and through.)

It is a complicated process and I always get the sense that I’m running one step behind the technology that continues to change, morph and evolve into some other new trend.  Just when I think I’ve got one part of it figured out, Google comes along with some kind of a stupid wave thing and I’m confused all over again.

But, this doesn’t stop me from trying to pull that rabbit out of the hat.  It’s challenging and keeps my mind active.  Besides, I look at it as in investment in my mental health.  Chances are I won’t be suffering from dementia or alzheimer’s any time soon.  At least, that’s my theory anyway.

So, when I get that blog launched, I’ll link to it and you gals (and guys, if you’re so inclined) can hop on over and browse around.  Be sure and let me know what you think.  It will be another blog devoted to perimenopause, but in a more focused manner.  That’s all I’ll say about it for now.

I plan to post another article for our men. These guys just keep coming around looking for answers.  So, I can’t leave them high and dry.  My problem comes in that I don’t want to rehash the same old stuff and call it new.  I want to address specific needs and hopefully, the articles I put up will cover the bases for them.  So, look for me to return to the blogging area soon.

In the meantime, I hope you all are enjoying the holiday season (whatever your religious or non-religious persuasion).

See you soon with a post on “The Perimenopausal Wife and How to Live with Her”
