Well, the day got started off well. I managed to drag my fifty-something year old butt out of the bed at 5:30 a.m. to begin the day with prayer and bible reading. Something that has been sorely lacking in my life for way too long.
My daughter and I both decided that “Boot Camp” was just too much energy for both of us to expend on a Monday morning, so we opted for the gym and treadmills instead. In fact, chances are we won’t ever be doing the Boot Camp sessions. It’s just too much like exercise. Hello?
So, we walked/ran/walked & ran on the treadmills for an hour and felt better about consuming homemade cinnamon rolls lathered in butter, sugar & cinnamon for breakfast (I ate oatmeal too, I promise). The way we figured it, after working out it was like we only at 2/3 of the cinnamon roll. Not bad by my estimations.
I’m still trying to figure out what kinds of things I want to blog about here at The Magnolia Diaries. I have moved my writing ventures to The Magnolia Monologues, the perimenopause stuff to The Perimenopause Blog and have two more blogs devoted to other interests I have. I’m one of those “don’t let my peas touch my meat” kinds of people and like clean categories for each subject. It’s my quirk. What can I say.
Anyway. I’m feeling actual menopause on the horizon (can I hear a BIG amen???) and so perhaps with the onset of that glorious time in my life I will have plenty of things to say. So, I’ll just continue to roll with it and document my 6-month challenge.
