Magnolia’s 6-Month Challenge: Day 3

Okay, damn it.  This is getting f**king ridiculous.  Yeah, I said it.  So there.

I’m not particularly sick feeling anymore. That is, I don’t have a fever, sneezing or body aches.  What I do have though is fluid backed up into my ears which means I’m experiencing dizziness and vertigo.

A few months back I had a whopping case of vertigo that sent me to the hospital convinced I was having a stroke.  Thankfully, my husband was home and was able to drive me because I couldn’t raise my head or walk for fear of falling over or vomiting.

Tests revealed I did not have a stroke but that possibility of my having something called Mineare’s Disease was raised.  Mineare’s Disease is an inner-ear issue that causes all kinds of strange symptoms of which dizziness and vertigo are a part.

It also has to do with fluid build up in the inner-ear canal which in turn causes all sorts of balance issues.  So, today it seems the fluid from the congestion and cold has backed up into my ear and it’s all I can do to walk a straight line across the floor.

Imagine me in namaste Yoga class then attempting to do the tree pose.  Not a pretty sight.

I’ve taken some medication for the vertigo and hopefully will be able to at least go to the gym today and walk on the treadmills or on the track, because otherwise, I don’t know when I’ll be able to rejoin Joy-elle or namasta Paula for another round of Yoga.
