Magnolia’s 6-Month Challenge: Day 16 Joy, Joy, Joy with Joy-elle

So, we made it. I have to admit, this is my favorite class.
Though I find myself frustrated with how fast she goes through these exercises, when we get to the stretch part, I’m a happy camper.
I may have mentioned, Joy-elle is a very young dancer. She has this lovely, toned and quite limber physique with which she pirouettes and plies all over the place.
The average age of us Joy-elle devotees is probably 55. No kidding. There is one lady in there who is every bit of 70-plus.
So, though I love the exercises, I find myself frustrated with Joy-elle’s naivete when it comes to instructing us, shall we say, more mature people.
She goes entirely too fast and if I were to follow her instructions to the “T”, I would be hyper-ventilating trying to “inhale-exhale-inhale-exhale”. Plus she does all of these damn complicated groups of moves that take my menopause whipped brain a few minutes to understand.
It’s like trying to pat your stomach and rub your head while you hop, hop left, hop, hop right and roll your eyes in opposite directions at the same time. Yeah. Just like that.
Then, after we get through with our grunting and groaning, she has the nerve to spin and dance and point her little ballerina toes all over the place. Anyway. I was grumpy today. Can you tell?
Tomorrow, I will do the spinning class even though I’m NOT going to want to.
