I got my period like normal but it hasn't stopped since then, It's been 3 weeks now. Is this normal

I also have a 10 yr IUD don't know if this would relate @ all?

Heavy or prolonged bleeding may indeed be normal if you are in perimenopause, however IUD's certainly can cause bleeding and it can be serious.  I'm assuming that you are of Menopause age since you wrote the question here, and you need to see your gynecologist to see if you are experiencing complications from an IUD.  You may wish to get your hormonal status checked also via blood and saliva testing.  Let us know what you find out!
