The amount & volume varies according to the individual such that what's excessive to one person might be minimal to someone else. What's important is the relative change. The fact that you've noticed excessive clear vaginal mucus suggests that this is more than usual which may then represent infection, regardless of whether or not a bad odor is present or not.
