dark brown discharge over past several months, plus severe pain in vaginal area at times, Is this something tobe concerned about

I have been having a dark brown discharge over the last several weeks, prior to that I had severe pain in the vaginal area. I no longer have a uterus but I do have ovaries. Is this something I should be concerend about? I have also had nasal cold sores I have been unable to get rid of
