Although I have not had a bleed for 10 years (now aged 62) I still get PMS symptoms every month but worse than before the menopause. My Practice |Nurse has advised me that amitriptyline can often help. Is this true? If so, how long before they take effect? Started it just over a week ago and been asleep virtually ever since.
