Urinating too often can indicate several serious medical conditions. Some possibilities include urinary tract infections, bladder conditions (e.g. interstitial cystitis), kidney conditions (e.g. nephritis), or prostate conditions (e.g. BPH). Also possible are metabolic conditions such as Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, or diabetes insipidus.

Everyday causes of frequent urination include:
    * Drinking too much fluid
    * Caffeine
    * Alcohol
    * Normal aging - I'm in my 60's and urinate every 1-2 hours for the last 10 years with none of the above problems.

I would seek a second professional medical opinion about his urination symptoms.

Make sure your physician tests your urine for ureaplasma.

You can get a Urinalysis lab panel test done near you for people who have frequent urination symptoms .
