Urinating too often can indicate several serious medical conditions.
Some possibilities include urinary tract infections, bladder conditions (e.g. interstitial cystitis), kidney conditions (e.g. nephritis), or prostate conditions (e.g. BPH). Also possible are metabolic conditions such as Type 1 diabetes, Type 2 diabetes, or diabetes insipidus.
Everyday causes of frequent urination include:
* Drinking too much fluid
* Caffeine
* Alcohol
* Normal aging - I'm in my 60's and urinate every 1-2 hours for the last 10 years with none of the above problems.
I would seek a second professional medical opinion about his urination symptoms.

my husband over the last two weeks has had to urinate every hour. there is no burning sensation but some discomfort of the blatter. He went to his doctor who had him give a urin sample and in a mater of minutes told him there was nothing wrong with him and instructed the nurse not to send the urin for testing. He is still having this problem and does not know what to think.
