What causes constant warm/burning sensation over base of penis and shaft area (skin).

I have been getting a constant warm/burning sensation over the base of penis and shaft.  Not on the tip. Symptoms have been occuring for three days.  Yesterday had burning sensation after ejaculation for few minutes.
