With Valentine’s Day approaching, it’s time to think about buying sweets for your loved one. What could go better with a beautiful flower arrangement than a box of chocolates?
A new study suggests you may be able to ease your guilt when indulging in this popular Valentine’s treat.
The study, mentioned in an article by Webmd writer Jennifer Warner , says dark chocolate and cocoa power may qualify as a “super food,” or a food with high antioxidant content. According to the article, “antioxidants are a group of compounds known to fight the damaging effects of oxidative stress on cells within the body and are increasingly thought to have many heart-healty properties.”
So enjoy a few treats during your day of romance. As the old saying goes: “Everything in moderation.”
